I never took care of my skin before I discovered VETTED Dermlab and now I can’t live without it.
At the end of the day, Vetted Dermlab is intent on staking a claim in the clean beauty segment as a disruptive, high-performance, science-backed hypoallergenic skincare brand respected for ingredient integrity based on scientific data that sets the benchmark for what clean beauty should be. Fox says, “We are dermatologists with expertise in skin, and we believe that dermatologists’ trusted voices should be the ones determining the standards for clean and hypoallergenic beauty.”
Amidst a sea of influencers and ten-step skincare routines, Vetted Dermlab is working to redefine clean beauty with products backed exclusively by science and data. The three women sought to make products safe to use for people with allergies that also fill the need for a luxurious self-care ritual.
“Most people simply don’t apply enough sunscreen or a high enough SPF,” Dr. Woodruff says. “Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30, but higher SPFs will be more effective.”
All Vetted products are especially safe for sensitive skin. The packaging is stunning and sustainable.
The term hypoallergenic, however, is not regulated by the FDA, which means that any company can use it on their product label without any scientific evidence to support the claim.
VETTED Dermlab is redefining clean beauty by not only avoiding common ingredients of concern, but ensuring that hypoallergenicity, as dermatologists define it, is part of the product design.
"We know people who have interferonopathy, which are genetic diseases where there is too much interferon production, get pernio [chilblain]-like lesions,” says Lindy Fox, a dermatologist at the University of California, San Francisco.

“The good news is that the chilblain-like lesions usually mean you’re going to be fine,” Dr. Fox said. “Usually it’s a good sign your body has seen Covid and is making a good immune reaction to it.”

“This exciting new brand is developed by some of the most genius dermatologists in the country. Their serum is formulated with a very stable form of hydroxypinacolone retinoate plus squalane to hydrate. It has a very minimal ingredient list so it’s ideal for anyone with allergy-prone skin.”
This year Americans are expected to spend $19.9 billion on non-prescription skin care and protection products, up from $18.7 billion last year, and that market is expected to grow to nearly $23 billion in 2025. Americans are expected to spend about $7.7 billion this year in dermatologists' offices

Clean beauty is a marketing term with no clear definition or standardization.
