This is packed with barrier restoring and deeply moisturizing essentials- ceramides, phospholipids and cholesterol- what we call the ‘holy grail of hydration’.
Healthy skin starts with a healthy epidermal barrier, which is composed of ceramides, cholesterol, and free fatty acids (phospholipids).¹ Aging and skin conditions like eczema can lead to loss of natural lipids, epidermal barrier dysfunction, and compromised skin health.² It features acetyl glucosamine, which inhibits tyrosinase, an enzyme required for the production of melanin, and pair it with niacinamide, for a synergistic effect.³ Niacinamide hydrates, restores the epidermal barrier, and repairs damaged DNA.⁴ Ceramides restore barrier function and lock in moisture.⁵,⁶
In contrast to other moisturizers, we do not formulate with common vehicles known to irritate such as propylene glycol/propranediol. We also are exacting about our preservatives and only use those that have the very lowest allergenicity profile based on the latest medical literature.
Our products are made in the US with ingredients that are vegan, cruelty-free, and responsibly sourced and packaged in recyclable glass and paper.

Active Ingredients
Ceramides
A ceramide is a lipid molecule which plays an essential role in both water-retention function and barrier function in the stratum corneum – the outer layer of skin. Ceramides ensure that trans-epidermal water loss does not occur too quickly by holding onto water in the skin.
Phospholipids
Phospholipids are naturally occurring or synthetic fats (composed of glycerol, fatty acids, and phosphate). They pull water in to where it is needed, making them excellent humectants and emollients. They also work as antioxidants.
Cholesterol
Cholesterols are naturally occurring components of the skin barrier. They work to strengthen the barrier function of the skin. In skincare, they also function as stabilizers, emollients, surfactants, and water-binding agents.
Niacinamide
Niacinamide helps to visibly minimise enlarged pores, tightens lax pores, improves uneven skin tone, soften fine lines and wrinkles, diminish dullness and strengthen a weakened surface.
Glucosamine
Because of its stimulation of hyaluronic acid synthesis, glucosamine has been shown to accelerate wound healing, improve skin hydration, and decrease wrinkles. In addition, as an inhibitor of tyrosinase activation, it inhibits melanin production and is useful in treatment of disorders of hyperpigmentation.

Very nice but a bit expensive and I prefer lighter container.
M2 is the moisturizer I never knew I needed- it works wonders for my skin and never irritates me. I recommend it to literally every person I meet. Even my husband and kids love it!
The best moisturizer for evening I apply M1 - just a bit - on moist skin and then M2 for the most hydrated feeling skin ever! Will never stray from Vetted!
The M² Rich Moisturizer is really effective at being a deep hydrating cream that can be applied day or night. I found this cream to be very absorbent and also rich in its moisturizing effects I didn't experience any clogging of my pores or feeling like it was just too much it absorbed in very well!
I’ve been using the M2 moisturizer since May of 2023. I am almost 72 , fair skin , and have dealt with many rash issues as well as dark spots. Since using Vetted products I have had zero issues!
I went to my dermatologist this week for my yearly checkup and she was amazed that my dark spots have disappeared!
I love how easily this M2 moisturizer blends in and gives my skin great hydration without being greasy. Absolutely love how my skin feels !
The M1 & M2 Moisturisers are both lightweight and have a sublime natural feeling to them - they melt seamlessly into my skin. A refreshing change from other heavier and oilier brands. You can really tell that Vetted leave out any unnecessary ingredients - which also means that you get a more complete and concentrated dose of goodness in every bottle. It's that perfect balance of luxury and effectiveness. Trust me, your skin will thank you for it!
Wow! I decided to give vetted a try for my face and this moisturizer has done wonders to my skin. In a matter of days, my skin feels smooth, healthy and is glowing. I have been struggling to find a moisturizer for my face for years. Nothing worked for me even the sensitive skin lines like CeraVe, Vanicream, and Cetaphil. It made my face itchy, red, and dry. I would deal with contact irritation for days after. But this moisturizer has not caused any issues. I am so happy and this will be my go to moisturizer moving forward. Thank you!!
I’ve been using the Vetted products for almost one year upon recommendation of my dermatologist after having a CO2 laser.
I find these products to be very calmly and gentle on my skin. My skin is always soft and hydrated. I highly recommend this skin care line.
I’ve been using the whole Vetted for few months now. My skin is clean and clear. The moisturizer is so hydrating and calming that I use it on my hands and arms, too. I wish they made a bigger jar!
I absolutely rely on and trust this product above all others to normalize, treat and protect my complexion. I have a sensitive mature, rosacea prone, yet combination complexion with an oilier T-zone. I apply Vetted M2 at night after cleansing, serums and actives (avoiding T-zone), in order to nourish and lock everything in. I’ve never had a reaction - instead I’ve always had a deep healing from Vetted M2. The texture is a medium thickness - not too light, yet just viscous enough to be both a mild occlusive, yet rich emollient cream.
I love the Cleanser as well as the M2 moisturizer. I’ve had very sensitive skin most of my adult life and have struggled to find a product that would work in the long range. I’ve been using these Vetted products for 2 years now and have never had a reaction or skin break out. Thank you for your products.
I love the product but I do wish the packaging was not as heavy. Aesthetically it is beautiful but it is not super functional, it is a huge package for only 1.7 oz. of product. It would be more useful to be in a pump format that is lighter and more evenly distributes the amount of product rather than dipping your finger in to apply.
My skin is pretty sensitive. I like to use a vitamin C serum for the protection it adds to my sunscreen, but with sensitive skin, it can be tough to find one that is effective, yet doesn't irritate my skin. I'm still trying to figure out how to integrate this into my routine. I haven't opened my 2nd bottle of Vetted Dermlab's Vitamin C serum yet; with my first bottle, I experienced quite a bit of dryness and had to scale way way back on my usage. Like I said, I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate this into my routine, which can be a bit tricky when also using a retinoid.
With well-worn (yes, I'm old!) and light complexion, I loved this moisturizer! The texture of this product is my favorite ever and a thin layer leaves my face feeling moistened and healthy. After I applying it, I actually remember what my skin felt like when I was younger! Thank you!
I really like the cleanser and the retinoid. I wanted to love the moisturizer and balm, but every time I used them, I broke out the next morning. I had used retinol in the past, but it would dry out my skin, so I was looking forward to having a good moisturizer to use over the retinol - however, I have not been using them together anymore because of the reaction I had. It happened multiple times with both the balm and the moisturizer (not used at the same time).
My skin goes haywire in the winter and hyaluronic acid exacerbates the problem. It is so hard to find a moisturizer without HA and without common pore cloggers. This Vetted moisturizer has literally saved my winter skin. I love the texture, I love the scent (or rather lack thereof, which I most appreciate), I love the efficacy. It's a home run. Vetted, please never change it!
I had a CO2 laser treatment back in November. My dermatologist recommended your skin care line along with a 45 SPF sunscreen.
So far my skin looks and feels great.
I appreciate that the M2 Moisturizer does not contain pore-clogging ingredients and is soothing so that my sensitive skin did not react. However, it is not moisturizing enough for my skin.
I have tried many different products in the past. The Vetted products are simply the best for my usually dry, older skin. I can’t imagine using anything else.
Love this moisturizer. I have very sensitive acne prone skin and can't use most products because of an acrylate allergy. This is one of the few moisturizers I can use that don't cause any issues, and doesn't irritate my skin or break me out. It just leaves me moisturized without being greasy, soothed and happy skin! The company is also great at customer service, one of my bottles came damaged and they immediately sent a replacement. Thank you for making products for people who can't usually use much! <3
So it is a nice moisturizer, however I didn’t realize how small the container is… it’s a lot of money for not a lot of product. The smell is also a bit odd. Not overpowering though. Overall, it’s an okay product, but I probably wouldn’t repurchase due to cost, size, and not sure it’s as thick as I was hoping for.
I have what feels like the most annoyingly hypersensitive skin on the planet, plus multiple allergies to ingredients that show up in basically everything. Almost anything I use makes my skin freak out. I’ve always stuck to products for sensitive skin, but even those eventually stopped working. Vanicream was great for years… until it wasn’t. Now I can’t even use that.
For the past three years I’ve been dealing with persistent perioral dermatitis along with rosacea, and my skin hasn’t tolerated any of the products my dermatologist recommended or prescribed.
Vetted M2 is the first thing I’ve been able to use consistently that doesn’t aggravate my skin. Has it cured my PD? No, of course not, but my flares are less frequent and my skin is calmer overall, which is a win for now.
Is the price a little painful? Yep. But if you find something that actually works when nothing else does, it’s worth it. If you like it, I recommend signing up for the auto-refill for a price discount.
I appreciate the time and energy these Dr's are putting into their skin care products for folks like me who can't seem to tolerate much. The skincare industry is flooded with a lot of garbage, thanks for standing out from that.
I absolutely love the Vetted product line. Just ordered everything and got it yesterday. Dr. Nina Botto has been my dermatology at UCSF for a long time, and she is a fantastic doctor who cares about her patients and has an excellent bedside manner. Now that she started a skincare line with two other colleagues I wanted to support her. These are the best skincare products I have ever used, and now will be using from now on. The packaging is also beautiful and the products are in glass, not plastic to support our environment. Hope she will expand the line in the future.
